Never been a fan.. However

Politics have never been an interest of mine. I usually turn the page and skip the politics news in the papers or click on something else while on the Net..

Lately I can't bring myself to ignore the events happening in our society and those in the higher levels. How can one not read what's going on when they're there in your face 24-7? There's always some scandal or controversy and the worst part it affects us as Rakyat.

I've never had second thoughts on our PM's leadership even during the elections when a number of people had means of voting against his party. Was it because I wasn't bothered about who leads our country? Or was it because I was confident in him and his fellow MPs to do right for us?

Frustrating as it is when the petrol prices hiked up ridiculously; essential food items have also gone up! I don't think this would have bothered me if I were single and living a carefree life.. but with young and growing kids, I can't bear to minimize their food intake or cut off certain food group just because they're too darn expensive!

I think (and a whole of others I'm sure) it's about time these people who SAY and PROMISE a better life for the Rakyat fold up their beds and wake up to our cries of frustration. Now I can see a clearer picture on why our country's inflation sky rocketed and how a certain individual has the guts to declare that he is to take over the leadership board. All these TALK is very worrying.. Worry for our future and for the sake of my children, I would want them to grow up in a safe and stable environment.

The main question I've been asking myself is: Would it make a BETTER difference if either party leads? It's clear many of us have lost faith in our leader but what would the future bring should PKR be the next to govern? Obviously anyone can say a lot and convince us of a prosperous living but would they be able to deliver and maintain their heads?

In my opinion, I don't think it was right to swear on the Holy Quran. The Quran is sacred and it should only be used to give us knowledge and better understanding of what is right and wrong. What would happen if A also swore on it just to clear his name? What if he swears that he has done no wrong upon S? Someone has to be lying and then everything will be back to square 1..

Should they be sent to do a polygraph test instead? Just to rest everyone's mind and clear up this whole accusation game.. I don't feel safe for myself.. for my family.. even for my friends (esp non-Muslims). Things NEED to get back on track for the sake of the Rakyat and someone has to do it right!

So who's side am I on?: The Rakyat's who are screaming for UNITY and STOP all these controversial BULL!
